Nathan Karls

Collaborates with the other department staff in managing the continuing mission of strategic ministry development throughout the diocese (parish and school campuses). Leads in the consultative work with parishes to assist in creating a plan for developing comprehensive, sustainable, and culturally responsive parish ministry.

Nathan brings extensive experience in youth and adult ministry, strategic planning, and leadership development. Before joining the diocesan team, he served in parish and diocesan roles across several regions, including Good Shepherd in Colleyville, the Basilica of Saint Mary in Virginia, and the Archdiocese of Washington. A graduate of the University of Arkansas’s Walton School of Business with additional formation from Franciscan University, Nathan blends his background in organizational systems with a heart for evangelization and catechesis. Outside of ministry, he enjoys spending time with family, playing basketball, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
