Lumen Gentium, or "Light of the Nations," is a key document from the Second Vatican Council that describes the Catholic Church as a "People of God" and the "Mystical Body of Christ". It emphasizes the universal call to holiness for all baptized individuals, the active role of the laity in the Church's mission through engaging in worldly affairs, and the Church as a visible, hierarchical structure that is also a mystery, a pilgrim people on a journey.

Christus Vivit is a post-synodal apostolic exhortation of Pope Francis address to all young people and to the entire people of God. Chrius Vivit is directly translated to “Christ is Alive” and is reminding everyone that Christ is alive and that His presence brings hope and renewal.

Dilexi Te is Pope Leo XIV's first apostolic exhortation, building upon Pope Francis' fourth encyclical, Dilexit Nos. This exhortation is an invitation to contemplate Christ’s love, that we may be inspired to become attentive to the suffering and needs of others, and to share in the work of liberation that flows from his love (no. 2).

A resource for Guiding the Development of Lay Ecclesial Ministry developed by the Committee on the Laity of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).

This framework, approved by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in June 2024, gives guidance for the Catholic Church in accompanying and evangelizing young people: youth (in junior high and high school) and young adults (in their late teens, 20s, and 30s). The methodology is rooted in the Gospel story of the road to Emmaus (Lk 24:13-35) and invites pastoral leaders and families, in their engagement with young people, to imitate Jesus who listens attentively, teaches from the heart, and sends disciples into the world.

Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry, approved as a statement of the United States bishops in June 1997, builds upon the tradition begun by the 1976 document by the bishops, A Vision of Youth Ministry. To respond to the challenges and opportunities of the present age, the Catholic bishops of the United States have given the Church this pastoral framework as a blueprint for the continued development of effective ministry with youth and adolescents in local communities of faith.

In this comprehensive plan, the bishops offer an effective guide for helping young adults discover the answers to life's most profound questions through a personal relationship with Jesus and the Church.

Within our culture, pornography is often viewed as acceptable and harmless while the truth is quite the opposite. An offense against chastity and human dignity, pornography causes immense pain for people of all ages, particularly within marriage and family relationships.

Create in Me a Pure Heart: A Pastoral Response to Pornography seeks to raise awareness about the pervasiveness and harm of pornography. It offers a robust vision to help Catholics heal from the negative effects of pornography and to protect young people from its dangers.
